Laveno Mangelsdorff, Jochen. Remind me [Craft in bras]. 2014.
Below you see some fast sketches. I wanted to create a shape that expresses a dynamic feeling.
The sketched concept with a directional shape and a sense of communication that faces you was chosen to go forward with into the making of the bowl.
The bowl had to be obvious and harmonic from all angles. The front tilting keep a straight profile line from the side and the front lip does not touch the surface below, this result in a balanced bowl with a floating feeling.
The result is a bowl that can be faced to a specific direction to work as a reminder for example to pick up your keys before you leave or put them back again when you pass buy.
